Cracked Pipe in Swampscott

This winter saw some pretty frigid temperatures on the coast of Massachusetts and Swampscott was no exception.

This home suffered a frozen pipe which led to a burst pipe which led to a basement flood.

SERVPRO of Salem/Peabody/Marblehead was called to the scene and immediately began extracting the water to prevent any further damage.  We then set a series of air movers and dehumidifiers to begin the drying process.

This home was also a great opportunity for us to use our "Injecta-Dry" wall drying system. By using this method we effectively dried the walls and prevented any demolition from being necessary.  The customer (and the insurance adjuster) were thrilled!

Grease Fire in Lynn

A delicious dinner in Lynn, MA was left unattended and resulted in a cooking fire.  While the fire damage itself wasn't too bad it did spread soot and grease throughout the home.

SERVPRO of Salem/Peabody/Marblehead was called in to assist with the cleanup.  Our team used dry sponges to remove the soot and special de-greasing products to remove the grease from the walls, ceilings, floors and contents.   We also were able to help deodorize the entire home by using large air scrubbers as well as the newest technology....a hydroxyl generator.

The homeowner was back in the kitchen and cooking in no time!
